MD & Client Services

Ann is a dedicated specialist in her field, having spent over 25 years working in the clinical research and pharma / biotech arena.

With unrivalled experience of volunteer, patient and GP recruitment and retention, Ann has managed highly successful campaigns for some of the UK’s leading companies in this sector, both in-house and more latterly as MD of AWARD.

Ann is also an expert in internal and corporate communications and her experience includes amongst others, The Information Commissioner’s Office, The Met Office and Didsbury Engineering Ltd, working on a variety of projects and departments ranging from SHE training material, Engineering, HR and Facilities Management.



Account Manager

Michelle has many years’ experience working with clinical research, pharma and biotech clients and is well versed in the ethical and legal complexities of the sector.

She has a specialism in on and offline media planning and buying and this, combined with an excellent understanding of the marketing mix and ability to cut through the clutter makes her an invaluable asset in planning, implementing and measuring recruitment campaigns.



Business Development

With a background in event organisation, Michele has some 20 years’ experience in the clinical research sector where she started her career as a clinical research centre manager.

She has also spent time running a GP liaison team for a global clinical research company and is very experienced working with project / feasibility teams. Naturally positive and outgoing, Michele is putting her sector experience to good use in a business development role for AWARD.



Admin Manager

With incredible attention to detail, Heather is our stats queen. Extremely nifty with a spreadsheet, she’s great at pulling results and analysis together and keeping things running smoothly.

Heather has an invaluable contacts book from her background in print and publishing and can source just about anything. In fact, we think every office needs a Heather!



Copywriting & Content Development

An experienced writer with her finger on the pulse, Caroline leads copywriting and content development for AWARD.

With a background in PR, she’s full of creative ideas and whether it’s a client newsletter or a white paper, she’s great at spotting an angle and delivering engaging content and copy each and every time.



Strategy & Planning

A creative, strategic marketer with an eye on the bigger picture as well as the detail, Catherine developed her skills working on strategy and client services for some of the North West’s leading advertising and design agencies.

She has an excellent understanding of all things digital and her multi-channel experience helps create a well-rounded AWARD team.



Head Creative

A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, Emma has over 14 years’ experience in design and advertising, working for clients across a diverse range of sectors.

With a strong background in graphic design and branding and an excellent understanding of the pharma sector, our clients are consistently delighted by her ability to produce great-looking creative that delivers results.


I worked with AWARD for a number of years as Director of Volunteer Management at Quotient Clinical.  Initially contracted to support with the refreshing of the volunteer-facing website, AWARD proved themselves capable of so much more than this.

They were able to increase our website traffic, and the number of volunteers contacting us and joining our panel very significantly, and worked closely with us to help us achieve the results we needed.
